I am part of an international and diverse team of collaborators interested in avian fear responses and escape behavior. We are creating a global and open-source database on escape distances of birds that can be used to predict how bird species respond to anthropogenic disturbance across taxonomic groups, accross the globe, and various contexts, having important implications for current wildlife conservation efforts.
